Tectonics of Leaving: Finding My Inner Sanctuary
Tectonics of Leaving is the central force that has shaped my biography since I was a young girl in the Balkans. Notably, I learned very early how to turn my back on a familiar life and walk away into the unknown. Specifically, my childhood was marked by departures that always carried the heavy weight of tears. Every summer spent in Bosnia, playing with other children in the dust and sunshine, ended with a painful goodbye. When I left for university, 450 kilometers away from my parents’ house, the tears returned with a new intensity. Indeed, moving to Canada meant leaving behind my country, my relatives, and my identity. Consequently, I became a Geologist of the Soul to survive these shifts.
The Separation Within the Tectonics of Leaving
Notably, when the moment came to leave the husband who had betrayed me, the nature of my tears changed. Specifically, I did not cry because I was leaving him, but because of the tectonic fracture of being separated from my children. This separation was a wound that refused to heal, pulsating like raw magma beneath the surface. Consequently, to survive this impact, my mind initiated a self-defense mechanism known as retrograde amnesia. By losing certain memories, I was able to dull the sharp edges of my grief and breathe again. Indeed, the Tectonics of Leaving required me to reconstruct my life from the rubble. Therefore, I chose a life of solitude until I could find my own rhythm again.
The Precision of the Vancouver Microscope
Furthermore, my years in Canada provided a different kind of training for my spirit through meticulous work. Specifically, I spent my days in a quiet office in Vancouver, hunched over a microscope for hours. While I only went into the field during the brief summers, the real work happened in the stillness of the lab. My task was to analyze microscopic mineral grains that signaled the presence of diamonds. Notably, every sample was incredibly expensive, representing a massive investment of resources. I was the one who had to provide the final verdict: do we continue digging or move on? Consequently, this taught me the Geology of Silence and focus.
Bathing in the Warm Lake of Words
Notably, living in Romorantin by the Sauldre river, I have finally integrated these lessons into a state of peace. Specifically, as a mature woman in France, I savor the clean air and the simple luxury of hearing the birds. My sacred ritual of writing is no longer a chore, but a homecoming to myself. It feels like walking through a forest on a sunny day until I suddenly encounter a clear, warm lake. Informatively, I cannot wait to dive in and bathe in its waters to release my inner voices. Indeed, writing is how I release the pressure of my internal volcanoes. This act is a part of my Tectonics of Memory.
Final Conclusions on the Tectonics of Leaving
In conclusion, the Tectonics of Leaving has led me to this very moment of stability and self-love. Specifically, I no longer feel the need to prove my worth to an invisible court of the past. I am happiest when I am swimming in the warmth of my own sentences. My essence is found in the ability to love myself while breathing calmly by the river. Therefore, I embrace my history, even the gaps in my memory, as necessary layers. Truly, I have finally found that “enough” is a solid foundation. Consequently, I am finally home within my own soul.
Razdvajanje unutar Tektonike odlazaka
Slijedom toga, danas u Francuskoj uživam u svakom dahu.
To je moja Tektonika sjećanja koja me čini najsretnijom osobom. Naposljetku, najmirnija sam dok se “kupam” u toplini vlastitih rečenica. Doista, Tektonika odlazaka me dovela do utočišta koje sam sama izgradila, gdje je mir moj najčvršći temelj.
