The scent of freedom is more than just the absence of smoke. It is a profound internal architecture. In the heart of Paris, I learned a vital lesson. True female strength often speaks in whispers. This quiet atmosphere helps me process the world. As a highly sensitive person, I need this space. It turns overwhelming moments into a stable, Malachite peace. Within these hushed intervals, the soul begins its crystallization. We move from chaos to clarity. The modern world demands constant noise. However, I choose the quiet elegance of the unspoken. This the scent of freedom is not empty at all. It is a mineral-rich space for our truths. By embracing stillness, we reclaim our narrative. We transform our deepest vulnerabilities into enduring strength. Now, we finally find the radiant peace we deserve.

Tu as réussi.”

The Scent of Freedom: Why Crystallization is Silent and Victory is Fragrant
A few days ago, while sitting in a hairdresser’s chair in Paris, something happened that would probably go unnoticed by others, but to me, it meant the world. When the hairdresser rinsed my hair and applied the conditioner, a wave of scent washed over me, completely pulling me out of time. It was that pure, unadulterated scent of freshness and care.
Why does this matter so much? Because three months ago, I quit smoking.
For years, my world was draped in a gray veil of smoke. Every perfume, every flower, every meal was mingled with the scent of a cigarette. It was a sort of voluntary siege of my own senses, a facade with which I, perhaps unconsciously, hid my true self from the world. Today, as the air around me has grown sterile and clean, I experience every new scent as a gift. My clothes no longer smell like an ashtray, but like soap and spring. In that moment, as the warm water cascaded down my neck, I wanted to hug myself and say, ‘Well done, Sanja. You did it.’ I felt an indescribable satisfaction; as if I had finally shed an old, heavy coat I had worn for far too long.
As a former mineralogy engineer, I know the most beautiful things in nature don’t happen overnight. In geology, there is a process called crystallization. It is not a sudden explosion; it is nature’s slow, precise work where order, beauty, and resilience are forged from chaos and molten magma. I look out the window of my Parisian apartment and see nature preparing for the same. The first green leaves on the trees, those white flowers by the road timidly opening up—these are all tiny crystals of new life forming right before my eyes. This is the “Geology of the Soul” at work.
I feel the same thing happening inside me. Every day I spend writing, every time I bare my soul to the blank screen, I crystallize. I become somewhat lighter, younger, more transparent. With every written word, I expel the heavy sediment of the past—the illnesses that tried to break my body, the painful divorces that tried to extinguish my spirit—and I keep only what is valuable: love and beauty. I no longer repair old lattices and blueprints; now, I allow poetry to shape me.
If I could go back ten years and meet the Sanja who was then navigating the tectonic shifts of her life, I would just hold her hand tightly. I wouldn’t lecture her on what to do. I would only tell her one thing: “Always stand by yourself. Do not abandon yourself even when the ground opens up beneath your feet and the pain seems stronger than you. Be yourself, because your inner strength is your Morning Star that will guide you to safety.” I send the same message to every woman who today feels the earth trembling beneath her feet: your strength lies not in what you have survived, but in who you have chosen to become after it all.
The world around us, especially this digital one, is often harsh and loud. I don’t like wars, I don’t like sharp words or attacks in comments under the guise of anonymity. I feel sorry for people who lack morals, who try to steal others’ dreams or energy; they simply haven’t reached their process of crystallization yet. Even though the internet sometimes throws us all into the same basket, I’ve learned it’s easy to find your place in the sun. My place is where there is no smoke and no noise. When I see something I don’t want to see, I simply walk away. I don’t waste my heart on those who don’t know how to read it. I choose to block the noise, and I choose the silence that smells like freedom.
Life is the present moment. It is not in what happened yesterday, nor in the fear of tomorrow. My moment right now smells like clean hair, a smoke-free Parisian air, and a new life that is slowly but surely crystallizing into the peace I call Malachite Peace.
