A view through the window changes with our moods. It is a frame for the world and a mirror for the soul. I love to watch the life passing by from my sanctuary. Every window is a portal to a new perspective.

A view through the window - Magma Star

Pogled kroz prozor

Šokirana sam koliko toga prolazi bez ikakve recenzije.

A View Through the Window

A view through the window… a moment of truth opens up.
I see masses of people and strange scenes that everyone is watching.
I honestly don’t see where the beauty is,
or the interest that could keep me looking.
It seems to me that the world has changed.
Before, we watched to learn something,
but today, the goal seems to be shock by stupidity.
Is this the fashion of youth now — the stupider, the more popular?
Or must one wade through so much nonsense
just to find a single pearl in the sea?
I get the impression I’ve landed in another world.
Words cannot describe what people put out there.
The rule has become: the crazier, the better.
My life is not that simple. Everything I do, I do thoroughly.
I think about my actions, about what I write,
and how it will affect the people around me.
Honestly, I write the same way I speak to people.
I don’t want my word to be lost,
but I want it presented in the right way.
Like an electrician who knows his job —
if he connects a wire wrongly, there goes the “boom”.
It’s the same in writing: there must be order, introduction, action, conclusion.
Everything has its meaning and its order.
I think everyone should behave this way in their work.
What led me to write this?
I watched “viral” poetry, and I liked barely thirty percent of it.
That is too little.
Comparing it to real life,
it’s like seeing only thirty percent of decent people on the street,
while everyone else is negative.
I am shocked by how much passes without any review.
Maybe I need time to accept it…
or to justify my peace in this chaos.
