There are moments in life when one realizes there is nothing left to prove to anyone. Years pass, and experiences stack upon one another like the pages of a book we have written ourselves. When I look around, it sometimes seems that I am not a woman of many words. But then I realize that words are less important than what we carry within — what we have lived, learned, and felt.
I wear my years with pride. I have years of practice that have taught me to look at the world more calmly, deeply, and patiently. These years remind me of the golden eighties, of a youth that had a special color, a special sound, and a unique freedom. That is a time that is never forgotten.
Today is different. The world has changed, and so have we. But in that change, there is something beautiful. There comes a moment when you no longer have to run after everything. A moment when you can sit, breathe, and observe life like a play in a theater. Sometimes I feel as if I am sitting in a quiet box of that grand theater of life. From my comfortable booth, I watch people, their stories, their dreams. I watch youth passing through everything I once went through myself. And I feel no sadness. On the contrary — I feel gratitude.
I zato sam zahvalna.
Podijeli ovu radost s nekim tko zna uživati u malim stvarima.
The Peace That Comes With Age
There are moments in life when you realize you no longer have to prove anything to anyone. Years pass, experiences stack up like pages of a book we wrote ourselves. Sometimes it seems I am not a person of big words. But then I realize words are less important than what we carry within us.
I have years of life that I carry with pride. These years remind me of the golden 80s, a youth that had a special color, sound, and freedom. Today is different. But there is something beautiful in that change. There comes a moment when you no longer have to run after everything. A moment when you can sit down, breathe, and observe life like a play in a theater.
Sometimes I feel like I am sitting in a quiet box of this great theater of life. From my comfortable seat, I watch people, their stories, their dreams. I watch youth going through everything I once went through myself. And I don’t feel sadness. On the contrary — I feel gratitude.
There is a special kind of peace that comes with age. It is a peace that cannot be bought. My joy today comes from simple things. From music, from 80s rock. Sometimes I sing loudly while we drive in the car. Sometimes I joke like a little girl. And the most beautiful thing — the person beside me understands it. He accepts that joy and shares it with me.
Today I can say I am happy. Not because everything is perfect, but because I know how to recognize the value of what I have. That is why I don’t look at my years as something passing. I see them as a treasure I collected along the way.
Every year brought a lesson, every memory left a trace. And that is why I am grateful. Grateful to the sky for all the people, moments, and paths that led me here, where I am now.
