The Invisible Woman Does Not Exist in the world of soul geology. Many people believe that women become less visible as they reach their 40s. However, I have discovered that this is actually a period of profound metamorphosis. In the earth, pressure turns limestone into magnificent marble. In life, the challenges we face in our 40s do the same for our spirits. We do not fade away; we become harder, more polished, and more valuable. The Invisible Woman Does Not Exist because our presence becomes more solid and undeniable than ever before.

The Invisible Woman Does Not Exist - the strength and beauty of women in their 40s.

On je rezultat nezamislivog pritiska i visokih temperatura duboko u utrobi zemlje. On je nekada bio obični, porozni vapnenac, sve dok ga tektonske ploče života nisu zgnječile i natjerale da promijeni samu svoju strukturu. Ožiljci, pukotine i nečistoće koje uđu u njega pod tim pritiskom postaju njegove najljepše žile, njegov jedinstveni potpis.
Moje 20-e i 30-e bile su taj pritisak.
S 18 godina, spakirala sam svoj život u Splitu i otišla u drugu državu na studij geologije. Novi mentalitet, novi govor, novi sustavi vjerovanja.
Dugo sam vjerovala da me ti pritisci troše.
Ostale smo ja i ja — napokon spojene u jedno jedinstveno, čvrsto JA.

The Invisible Woman Does Not Exist: Why Your 40s Are a Metamorphosis, Not an End

In geology, the most beautiful marble is not formed in peace. It is the result of unimaginable pressure and high temperatures deep in the bowels of the earth. It used to be ordinary, porous limestone, until the tectonic plates of life crushed it and forced it to change its very structure. The scars, cracks, and impurities that enter it under that pressure become its most beautiful veins, its unique signature.
My 20s and 30s were that pressure.
At 18, I packed up my life in Split and moved to another country to study geology. A new mentality, a new language, new belief systems. At the time, you think you can weather everything easily because you are young, but every adaptation leaves micro-cracks in the rock of your being. At 29, another blow followed—a move to Canada. Another upheaval, another “polishing” to other people’s standards, adapting to others while slowly, imperceptibly losing yourself.
For a long time, I believed that these pressures were wearing me out. That I was becoming thinner, weaker, more invisible. Society whispers to us that a woman, after forty, slowly drops off the radar, that her “market value” declines, that new beginnings are reserved for those whose skin does not yet hold history. We are told that weariness and struggle make us less valuable.
What a delusion.
My crystallization did not happen in comfort. It happened the moment when, after illness and severe cuts that took almost everything from me, I was finally left alone. In that silence, for the first time, I began to guard and heal myself. The “others” I had adapted to for years were gone. Only me and myself remained—finally merged into one unique, solid I.
That is the moment limestone becomes marble. It is not aging; it is a metamorphosis.
Today, at 45, I walk through Paris and I do not feel invisible. On the contrary, I feel indestructible. When you find that inner peace, that “most beautiful state” where you have everything—freedom, deep satisfaction, and the confirmation that you are finally on the right path—you no longer have to explain to the world how you feel. It shows. Contentment radiates from every millimeter of the body, permeates every pore, overflows from the inside out, and refracts in the light like the purest crystal.
Finding true love at 45 was not “blind luck.” It was a chemical reaction that could only occur once I had become a stable structure. My partner does not see “a woman of a certain age”; he sees marble that has endured the terrifying pressure of Canada, the nausea of illness, and the burden of disappointment, and emerged with a unique, deep glow that a young rock simply cannot possess.
If you feel invisible this morning, remember geology. The pressure you are going through right now is not there to destroy you, but to recrystallize you. Your 40s and 50s are not a sunset; they are the moment your internal structure finally becomes solid enough to shine with its full brilliance. You haven’t grown old. You have become precious.
