Mediterranean Rhythm: Azure Diary – Day 1

Mediterranean Rhythm is a feeling that grows stronger with every kilometer as I travel toward the South of France. Notably, I have reached the halfway point of my journey, resting tonight in Valence-Sud. Specifically, the drive from Vierzon through Bourges, Roanne, and Saint Étienne was filled with internal excitement. Although Saint-Tropez is still 300 kilometers away, the warmth here already whispers of the Mediterranean. Consequently, it feels like I am returning to my hometown of Split. Indeed, my Geologist of the Soul perspective sees this as a return to my primary strata.

Industrial Memories and Mediterranean Rhythm

Notably, passing through Saint Étienne triggered a tectonic shift in my memory. Specifically, this city was once a famous mining hub, and the industrial HLM buildings for workers reminded me deeply of Bosnia. It took me back to the mining towns of ex-Yugoslavia where I traveled so often with my family. Consequently, I realized that the Mediterranean Rhythm can be found even in the grit of industrial history. Indeed, these structures are the fossils of our collective past. Truly, the Tectonics of Memory are alive today.

Nature’s Secrets in the Mediterranean Rhythm

Furthermore, traveling via the national road allowed me to witness the unpolished beauty of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Specifically, I saw white cows grazing and a young calf nursing from its mother exactly at noon, as if joining us for lunch. Notably, I saw a little fawn in a meadow near the forest—my very first time seeing one in the wild. Signs warned of deer, and lambs stayed close to their mothers. Informatively, these moments of pure existence help me find the Geology of Silence. Therefore, the Mediterranean Rhythm is also the rhythm of the wild.

In conclusion, I will fall asleep tonight in this small room by the highway, mesmerized by the sunny weather and light clouds. Specifically, I am trading the industrial gray for the azure blue. Consequently, I am ready for our campsite near Saint-Tropez. Truly, Mediterranean Rhythm is the soundtrack of my soul tonight.
✨ The journey continues. Next update tomorrow at 10 PM.

Točnije, put od Vierzona preko Bourgesa, Roannea i Saint Étiennea ispunio me unutrašnjim uzbuđenjem.

Rudarska sjećanja i Mediteranski ritam

To me vratilo u dane kad sam s roditeljima putovala kroz bivšu Jugoslaviju.

Život uz put i Mediteranski ritam
