The architecture of freedom starts the moment you turn the key in your lock after a long absence. For me, returning home after ten days is more than just a physical arrival. It is a frequency of peace that vibrates only within your own four walls. My apartment in Romorantin is a living proof of a victory. Every renovated crack and every corner my husband and I polished represents our private geode. From the outside, we are just two travelers returning from a trip. But inside, we inhabit a temple of intimacy, style, and absolute liberty.

In addition, true luxury in this world is the “right to be invisible.” This is a major pillar in the architecture of freedom. It is that wonderful feeling when you can spend the whole day in your softest house sweater. You can be silent for hours or dance through the hallways without anyone judging you. In these one hundred square meters, I am both the engineer of my own happiness and the poet of my silence. No one measures my steps or questions my deep thoughts. While I enjoy this stillness, I also feel the healthy excitement for my upcoming trip to Saint-Tropez.

Finally, the architecture of freedom is a triumph of presence. Today, I am not writing about the scars of the past. Instead, I am celebrating the woman I have become within these walls. My happiness is deep and underground, holding all my worlds together like the strongest rock. Please visit my Geology of the Soul section to learn more about internal strength. You can also explore my Malachite Peace section for more harmony. Remember, the most beautiful journeys always lead us back home.

Architecture of Freedom: Returning to My Own Geode

There is a special scent of freedom that greets you when you turn the key in the lock after ten days of absence. It is not just the smell of home; it is a frequency of peace that vibrates only within your four walls. As the door closes behind me, leaving the noise of the world and the bustle of Paris on the other side, I feel my shoulders relax. I have finally returned to my base, to my Romorantin.
This apartment of one hundred square meters is not just a space—it is living proof of a victory. I remember every renovated crack, every corner that my husband and I sanded and painted ourselves. It is our private geode. Do you know that feeling when you find an ordinary, gray stone on the ground, and when you break it, a shimmering universe of crystals greets you inside? That is how I experience our home. From the outside, we are just two people returning from a trip, but inside… inside is the temple of our intimacy, our style, and our freedom.
The greatest luxury of today is not in hotel stars, but in what I call the “right to invisibility.” It is that wonderful feeling when you can spend the whole day in your softest home sweater, the one that hugs you better than any designer coat. It is the freedom to be silent for hours if you feel like being silent, or to put on music and dance through the hallways without anyone looking, asking, or judging. In those one hundred square meters, I am both the engineer of my happiness and the poet of my silence. No one measures my steps, no one questions my time spent on my phone or in deep thought. I am simply—me.
Today is a day for slow resting. The journey from Paris to here has left that fine fatigue in the bones, but the heart is unusually awake. I am overwhelmed with a strange, shimmering happiness. Perhaps it is because of the realization that we have created a sanctuary where love is felt in the air, in every detail we chose together. I love this peace that surrounds me, this silence of a small town that allows me to hear my own thoughts.
And yet, within that peace, I feel a tremor of excitement. It is that healthy impatience of a body that knows salt on the skin and the blue of the French Riviera await it soon. Saint-Tropez is calling us next month. Three weeks of visiting, exploring hidden coves, and enjoying every sunset. That combination of current peace and future adventure is the most beautiful balance I have ever achieved.
Today I am not writing about the past, I am not writing about scars. Today I am writing about the triumph of presence. I love my home, I love the man who breathes in it with me, but most of all—I love the woman I have become within these four walls. I am happy. Not with that loud, intrusive happiness, but with that deep, underground one, which, like the strongest rock, holds all my worlds together.
I enjoy every square meter of my freedom. And only now, in this peace, do I realize: the most beautiful journeys are the ones that in the end return us exactly where we need to be. Home.
The most beautiful journeys are the ones that in the end return us exactly where we need to be.
Home is my private geode of freedom.

Arhitektura Slobode: Povratak u vlastitu geodu

U tih sto kvadrata, ja sam i inženjerka svoje sreće i pjesnikinja svoje tišine.
A opet, unutar tog mira, osjećam titraj uzbuđenja.
