Diamonds in the Tundra: A Journey to the Edge of the World

Diamonds in the Tundra: Welcome to a deeply personal exploration of life on the edge of the world. In this reflection, I share my journey to find these treasures and the profound impact of Yellowknife on my soul. As a soul geologist and former mineralogy engineer, I have spent decades analyzing the physical strength of crystals. However, it was in the freezing Arctic that I learned about the true resilience of the heart. Specifically, this story is a continuation of my experiences at Snap Lake, a mine that became a legend in the industry.

Survival in the Northwest Territories

Life in the tundra is a masterclass in endurance. Notably, I spent a month and a half in total isolation, facing summer temperatures that soared over 25 degrees Celsius and clouds of mosquitoes. Yet, the sense of freedom was overwhelming. Sitting in a small seaplane and looking out at the lakes is a feeling I can hardly describe. It was a major tectonic shift in my perspective. While Diamonds in the Tundra were the professional goal, the true treasure was the realization of my own internal strength. Indeed, my career at the microscope prepared me for this challenge.

Northern Lights and Malachite Peace

Beyond the treasure beneath the earth, it was the people of the Northwest Territories who truly seduced me. The women of Yellowknife were cordial and incredibly warm. I seriously considered moving from Vancouver to join this small community. Today, living in France, I realize that the diamonds we sought were merely symbols. The true value was the Malachite Peace I felt while watching the northern lights. Consequently, I learned that every experience leads to the eventual crystallization of the soul. Let us celebrate the beauty of survival together.

Si les Diamonds in the Tundra étaient le but, le vrai trésor était ma force intérieure.

Dijamanti u tundri: Kako me Yellowknife zamalo zadržao

Sjeverna svjetla i malahitni mir

Osim blaga pod zemljom, osvojili su me ljudi. Proslavimo ljepotu preživljavanja i dijamante skrivene u našim sjenama.
