Subsidence and the Golden Cage are two forces that can quietly destroy a woman’s spirit. In geology, subsidence is the gradual sinking of the ground, often unnoticed until the damage is done. My marriage was exactly like that. I lived in what appeared to be a perfect life, but underneath, the soil was giving way. This was the reality of Subsidence and the Golden Cage—having all the material comforts while my soul was slowly suffocating. It took immense courage to recognize that the security I thought I had was actually a trap.
Leaving that cage required more than just financial planning; it required a spiritual awakening. Through shamanic lessons and soul geology, I learned that true stability comes from within, not from a bank account or a partner’s approval. I had to stop the internal subsidence by reclaiming my independence and setting firm boundaries. This journey taught me that freedom is often found in the most uncomfortable places, far away from the gilded bars of a toxic relationship.
If you feel the ground sinking beneath your feet today, listen to that warning. Do not wait for the cage to break you. You have the power to engineer your own escape and find your Malachite Peace. Trust the shamanic wisdom that whispers in your ear and know that you are strong enough to build a new life on solid, honest bedrock.
Šamanske lekcije (Epizoda 4): Slijeganje tla i sindrom Zlatnog kaveza
— Magma Star
Vi radite, vi vučete, vi gradite fasadu, dok on u tišini prazni vaše rezerve.
On se u njoj više nema čime hraniti. Vi uzmite svoje najdragocjenije zalihe – svoju energiju, svoj um i svoju slobodu.
Shamanic Lessons (Episode 4): Subsidence and the Golden Cage Syndrome
By: Magma Star, Geologist of the Soul
“You can build the most beautiful house in the world, furnish it with gold and marble, but if you extract the underground water beneath it, the ground will inevitably settle. A golden cage is still a cage.”
— Magma Star
There is a very specific kind of sadness that doesn’t show up on Instagram. It is the sadness of a woman who drives a new car, who has a perfect job and an eight-bedroom house, yet who sits in her car outside her own front door every evening, delaying the moment she has to go inside.
In engineering, this is called subsidence.
Draining Your Resources
When the ground settles, the building looks untouched from the outside. The facade is perfect. The neighbors think everything is fine. But deep beneath the surface, someone or something is constantly siphoning off essential resources—water or oil. The soil loses its density, and the entire structure begins to sink, inch by inch.
In human relationships, this siphoning is usually done by a partner who feeds on your energy. He doesn’t yell. He doesn’t hit. He simply uses your empathy, your bank account, and your need for “everything to be okay” to finance his own comfort. You work, you pull the weight, you build the facade, while he quietly empties your reserves. Your security becomes your punishment.
A Shamanic Slap for Women in Golden Cages
Society will tell you that you are crazy to leave a “perfect” life. They will ask you: “How can you leave such a house? Why are you giving up when from the outside you lack nothing? How can you start from zero at your age?”
As the Geologist of the Soul, I am giving you permission to walk out of that house.
Stop financing your own suffocation. No luxury, no square footage, and no fake peace in front of the neighbors are worth your internal statics. Do not let manipulation and someone else’s inertia keep you tied to sinking ground.
It is better to stand with one suitcase on solid Parisian asphalt than to sleep in silk sheets while your entire soul sinks into quicksand.
Leave the building to the one who drained it. He has nothing left to feed on in there. You take your most precious reserves—your energy, your mind, and your freedom. You have the power to build a new one, on firm, stable ground.
