Keeping the candle within me burning was the only way to navigate the most challenging chapters of my life. In the quiet, reflective atmosphere of France, I often think of the resilience my parents instilled in me. This inner light is more than just hope. It is a profound internal architecture for a soul that refuses to be extinguished by external storms. Understanding the warmth of the candle within me helps me process the tectonic shifts of my past with grace and gratitude. As a highly sensitive person, I know that this spark is my greatest inheritance. It turns old fears into a stable, Malachite peace. Within these luminous intervals, the spirit finally finds its authentic rhythm. We move from the darkness of doubt to the clarity of self-belief. By trusting this light, we reclaim our radiant, enduring strength.

i obasjavala put kada nikome nisam dopuštala
da mi govori kuda da idem.
Vjerovala sam u svoju svijeću.
Nikada je nisam ispustila
i nikada nisam posumnjala
da sam sišla s pravog i pravednog puta.
Vjerovala sam u sebe kada sam ostala sama nakon razvoda.
Vjerovala sam u sebe kada sam ostala bez posla.
Vjerovala sam u sebe kada sam se razboljela.
Vjerovala sam u sebe kada su mi roditelji umrli.
Jesu li me oni tome naučili?
Ne znam.
Život me je učio kako da ostanem prisebna
i kako da idem naprijed.
A oni su me naučili da budem poštena, pravedna i iskrena.
Oni su mi dali tu svijeću
da je nosim kroz život
i da mi obasjava puteve kojima ću prolaziti.
Hvala im.
Jer danas vjerujem u sebe.
Iskustvo mi je to pokazalo.
I nastavljam dalje držeći svoju svijeću u sebi
u svakom trenutku moga disanja.

L’expérience me l’a montré.

The Candle Within Me

The time has come to believe in myself,
for the time of crisis and hitting rock bottom is behind me.
I managed to return – smiling –
from that dark path.
But I was never without light.
I always had a candle burning for me:
lulling me to sleep when the nights were black
and lighting the way when I allowed no one
to tell me where to go.
I believed in my candle.
I never dropped it
and I never doubted
that I had strayed from the right and just path.
I believed in myself when I was left alone after the divorce.
I believed in myself when I lost my job.
I believed in myself when I fell ill.
I believed in myself when my parents died.
Did they teach me that?
I don’t know.
Life taught me how to stay composed
and how to move forward.
But they taught me to be honest, fair, and sincere.
They gave me that candle
to carry through life
and to light the paths I will cross.
Thank you to them.
Because today I believe in myself.
Experience has shown me that.
And I continue on, holding my candle within me
in every moment of my breath.
