Quiet Strength: The Weight of Softness
How many times has it happened that you turn over every word you’ve spoken, weighing it on a pharmaceutical scale just so you wouldn’t unintentionally graze someone else’s soul, while simultaneously carrying the quiet burden of your own hypersensitivity as a form of **Quiet Strength**?
A small million times. I have never been strict, and I don’t know why. I only know how to be angry and loud if I am right and to fight for my right—there I trample without hesitation. However, in an ordinary conversation with people, where there are no battles but only daily touches of worlds, something else happens. You write something honest, poke someone out of pure curiosity or incentive, and then it tightens in your chest. Consequently, you wonder: Was it uncomfortable for them? Was I too sharp?
Reflecting on Quiet Strength
In those moments I look for a mirror in others. I ask here, I ask someone I trust to tell me from the outside, like a third person, whether I overdid it or not. And then the answers always return to me: You didn’t. Not at all. People are always on my side. I suppose I fear entirely without reason, for if they were in my place, they would probably say much worse things. This is how I maintain my **Quiet Strength**.
I am glad when I return to balance, when I lighten my soul. Yet, deep down, I never see this vulnerability of mine as my greatest power. Until I hear that voice from the outside whispering to me: That is a title worn only by the bravest. Truly, it is the core of **Quiet Strength**.
Courage and Quiet Strength
See, I only learn this when I stop and listen. When someone on the outside says it, I realize—well yes, maybe I really am brave. Because it is easier to armor oneself with coldness, close the door, and not care if anyone turns back for you. It is easier to pass through the world with a mask of indifference that does not ask about others’ feelings. It is much harder to remain an open soul, walking with skin as thin as rice paper and carrying that fear that someone will feel uncomfortable because of your honesty. This is a vital layer of my Internal Crystallization and my **Quiet Strength**.
But when I step out of my character, when I move away and look at myself from the side, then I say to myself: Bravo, Sanja. This vulnerability is your most authentic **Quiet Strength**. When I am inside my own skin, in that daily experience, fear still catches me. That old worry still flickers—the worry of grazing someone. However, perhaps the true art of living lies precisely in that—admitting that fear to yourself, smiling at it, and then moving forward with the same warmth in your chest.
The Victory of Quiet Strength
Because a heart that cares, that weighs words and regrets every careless tone, is not a broken heart. It is a heart that is alive. And living openly, without armor, in this noisy world is the greatest courage a person can carry with them. This is the definition of **Quiet Strength**. It is part of my Geography of Grace. Ultimately, **Quiet Strength** is the only way to remain whole in a world that tries to harden you.
Hrabrost i tiha snaga
Vidiš, to ja učim tek kad zastanem i poslušam.
